United goalkeeper Bill Hamid has been named to the MLS Team of the Week for his excellent performance against Real Salt Lake on Friday night.
The 25-year-old made a season-high seven saves to help the Black-and-Red earn a draw on the road, and his final save of the night was his 500th of his career, good for third among active players. The Annandale, Va., native also became the youngest goalkeeper in MLS history to reach 500 saves and has now been named to the Team of the Week four out of the five matches he's played in since returning from injury.
