D.C. United have traded the rights to midfielder Miguel Aguilar and forward Kennedy Igboananike to Los Angeles and Portland, respectively. United acquired the Galaxyās 2018 4th Round SuperDraft pick in exchange for Aguilar and United's 2019 Natural 4th Round SuperDraft pick. The Black-and-Red also acquired the 21st pick in the 2nd Round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft in exchange for Igboananike and one international roster slot until December 31, 2017. The international roster slot returns to United on Jan. 1, 2018.
Aguilar spent two seasons with the Black-and-Red after being selected by the club in the first round (17th overall) in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. He made his MLS debut on March 7, 2015 against Montreal and made 23 total appearances for D.C. United.
Igboananike was acquired from the Chicago Fire on July 28 in exchange for targeted allocation money and United's Natural Third Round selection in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. The forward made his debut on July 31 against Montreal and scored his first goal for the club on Oct. 23 against Orlando.
