Washington, D.C. (May 9, 2015) – D.C. United (5-1-3, 18 points) extended its unbeaten streak to seven games and stayed atop the Eastern Conference standings with a 1-1 draw against Sporting Kansas City (3-2-5, 14 points).
United extended its unbeaten streak at RFK Stadium to 17 straight games in all competitions, including 13 consecutive in league play dating back to June 2014.
Jairo Arrieta put United ahead in the 42nd minute with his second goal of the season, and Dom Dwyer tied the game three minutes later for Kansas City.
D.C. United returns to action against Kaká and Orlando City on Wednesday, May 13, at RFK Stadium (ESPN2, 8).
D.C. United is unbeaten in seven straight matches and off to the best start since 2006. In 2006, United was also 5-1-3 (18 points) after nine matches.
