D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid underwent surgery to repair a sport hernia on Monday, Jan. 18.
Dr. Alexander E. Poor, Associate Director of Research at The Vincera Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, performed the surgery.
Hamid is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight weeks as he completes rehabilitation.
