Childhood cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the United States. D.C. United are committed to playing our part in changing that for good by raising awareness and funds as we work to #KickChildhoodCancer.

To support the cause, D.C. United have planned the following initiatives this year.

Turn It Gold. D.C. United will transform their digital and social media properties with the color gold to visually demonstrate the clubā€™s collective support for all those young brave heroes.

#KickChildhoodCancer Match on September 19. D.C. United have dedicated their September 19, 2020 match to raising awareness on childhood cancer. Players and members of the clubā€™s television broadcast will wear gold to demonstrate their support, while visual displays on the field will also be noticeable, like gold corner flags and the captainā€™s armband.

Raise Funds for Pediatric Cancer Research. D.C. United have partnered with Chance for Life and Childrenā€™s National to #KickDMVCancer. From now through September 29 people can bid on amazing D.C. United Items and nominate a child fighting a battle with cancer to receive a special message from a D.C. United player! Visit: chanceforlife.net/kick for more information.

Seacrest Studio Virtual Visits at Childrenā€™s National. D.C. United #KickChildhoodCancer ambassadors, Chris Odoi-Atsem and Chris Seitz, will engage Children's National patients remotely by appearing on the Seacrest Studios shows for patients in the hospital.
