D.C. United have re-signed Mohamed “KingCJ0" Alioune Diop to represent the Black-and-Red as the club’s professional eSports athlete for the upcoming 2021 eMLS season.

Diop was originally acquired by D.C. United as the club’s second ever eSports athlete on December 5, 2019. He has been playing FIFA professionally since 2017, and prior to joining D.C. United he was a member of the Orlando Pirates, the first professional eSports team in Africa, while he was living in South Africa.

In his first season representing D.C. United, KingCJ0 finished in the top five in the United States and top ten in North America in the EA Sports FIFA 20 Global Series, a year-long competition which features the best players from all over the world.

“I’m looking forward to representing the Black-and-Red for my second eMLS Season,” Says KingCJ0. “I thought my first year in competitive FIFA in the United States went well, but I am not satisfied with just that. When I joined the club, my goal was to win it all. That goal hasn’t changed, and I’m here to win it all and nothing less.”

KingCJ0 streams his competitive matches and other FIFA content on his Twitch channel. He also posts tips, tutorials, and other helpful and interactive FIFA content on his Instagram and Twitter pages.
