United midfielder and Homegrown Player Ian Harkes has been nominated for AT&T Goal of the Week for his one-time effort against FC Dallas on July 4. The goal, Harkes' first of his MLS career, came in the 30th minute of the Black-and-Red's Independence Day matchup in Frisco.
After Patrick Nyarko laid the ball off to Harkes just outside the penalty area, the 22-year-old side-footed the ball first time past Dallas goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez.
