United forward Álvaro Saborío played in Costa Rica's CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier against Jamaica Friday night, helping to secure a draw and keep los Ticos on top of Group B in a match featuring several fellow MLS players.
Saborío, Costa Rica's third-highest all-time goalscorer, entered the match in the 75th minute for his 40th appearance in a World Cup Qualifier as "La Sele" look to qualify for their second consecutive World Cup.
The Costa Ricans are now 23-9-8 in Qualifiers when Saborío plays. After playing at Independence Park in Kingston, the two sides play again in Costa Rica on Tuesday, March 29 at San José's National Stadium.
