What to Know?
D.C. United will host current Eastern Conference leaders, FC Cincinnati at Audi Field. The two sides previously met on May 6 in Ohio, where a late goal by Taxi Fountas wasn't enough to erase the two goal deficit. However, this time around, Cincinnati will be without two of their usual starting players as defender Matt Miazga and striker Brandon Vazquez have been called for national team duty as the United States Men's National Team is set to compete in the Gold Cup.
The Black-and-Red will be without usual captain Steven Birnbaum, who received a red card 26 minutes into last weekend's match against Real Salt Lake. While playing a man down, Wayne Rooney's side were still able to create chances, but unable to tie the match. Chris Durkin's impressive strike in the 53rd minute was the only D.C. United effort to find the back of the net.
