D.C. United announced that forward Michael Seaton will miss six to eight weeks with a left knee injury. Seaton underwent surgery for a radial tear of the lateral meniscus in his left knee and also has a grade two MCL sprain which does not require surgery.
Seaton, who was hurt with the Jamaican U20 National Team, signed a Homegrown contract with the Black-and-Red on Jan. 14, 2013, becoming the first player born after the launch of MLS to be signed with a team in the League. In two seasons, Seaton has appeared in five games (two starts) for United while also spending time with the Richmond Kickers of the USL Pro League.
