Steve Clark has been nominated for MLS' Save of the Year thanks to his incredible stop against the New York Red Bulls' Bradley Wright-Phillips at Red Bull Arena on September 27.

In the 65th minute, New York's Gonzalo Veron carried the ball from the corner flag into the left side of the box, then fed an unmarked Wright-Phillips across the face of goal in the six-yard box. Wright-Phillips collected and fired a shot before a United defender could come between the striker and Clark, but Clark stood strong, shuffling across goal to position himself in front of Wright-Phillips, dropping into a full split, and making his body as big as possible to deny the shot with his chest.

The save was one of five stops from Clark in his first-ever Atlantic Cup game. Thanks in part to the goalkeeper's Man-of-the-Match performance, United battled to an important 3-3 draw in New Jersey.
