United midfielder Zoltán Stieber has been called up to the Hungarian national team for their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Finland on Sept. 8 and Greece on Sept. 11. The call up will be Stieber’s second this year after he made the 18 for Hungary’s pair of March friendlies against Scotland and Kazakhstan.

Since making his international debut on Sept. 2, 2011, Stieber has earned 25 caps for Hungary, scoring three goals and two assists. His last international goal came in a 2-0 win against Austria on June 6, 2016 during the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.
This season with the Black-and-Red, Stieber has become a key offensive weapon on the wing, scoring five goals and contributing seven assists. Stieber’s goal and assist totals are third-most on the team respectively.
Stieber’s last tally was a key insurance goal that secured a 2-0 win, United’s third victory in a row, over the New England Revolution on Aug. 19.
