D.C. United earned a valuable point after fighting to a 0-0 draw against the LA Galaxy in the sides' final regular-season meeting at RFK on Saturday night.

Playing their third match in eight days, the Black-and-Red fielded a new-look lineup for the East versus West showdown. United's starting lineup included three Homegrown Players: goalkeeper Bill Hamid, midfielder Ian Harkes, and defender Jalen Robinson.

The match opened with Hamid reaching another career milestone in the sixth minute, when he denied the first Galaxy shot of the night. Hamid's save was the 600th of his career, making the Homegrown one of only 12 MLS goalkeepers with 600 or more saves all-time. Hamid is the youngest player to reach the 600 mark.

While United and the Galaxy traded numerous scoring chances throughout the match, neither side was able to find the back of the net. The Black-and-Red fired off 19 shots, including six shots on goal, while Luciano Acosta recorded a career-high five shots.

United will enjoy a chance to regenerate before returning to action against Christos FC in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, June 13. The Black-and-Red then travel to Toronto to take on the Reds on Saturday, June 17.
