On Thursday, April 12, members of the D.C. United first team took over the brand new Nando’s PERi-PERi in Rossyln, Va., and helped raise more than $7,300 for United’s official charitable partner DC SCORES.

United goalkeepers Steve Clark and Travis Worra, defenders Kofi Opare and Jalen Robinson, and midfielders Russell Canouse and Jared Jeffrey spent the afternoon providing service at the newly-opened restaurant. Player duties included shadowing employees and greeting guests, taking orders at cash registers, and delivering food to tables.

All sales within the 11 AM - 10 PM time frame benefited DC SCORES, which works to provide free after-school soccer and literacy programming to at-risk D.C. area youth.
