Trevor Singer
Academy Scouting Director
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Trevor Singer, who will assume the role of Scouting Director for D.C. United Academy, has developed multiple players that have gone on to play professionally in the MLS, USL, and have represented the U.S. National team or their respective national team.
Singer began his career working on the coaching side of the sport with various clubs such as F.C. Delco, D.C. United, and Bethesda Soccer Club. He has over 15 years of Division One College Soccer experience under his belt. He was a Division One Assistant Coach for 12 years, and a Division One Associate Head Coach for three years. He has also worked on the Region-1 ODP staff for five years, and was the Associate Staff Coach for the United Soccer Coaches. His previous experience includes his tenure as a Scout with Philadelphia Union and U.S. Soccer’s Youth National Teams.
Trevor Singer currently holds a USSF “A” License, and has multiple degrees in a range of subjects including a USC Premier Diploma, a USC Director of Coaching Diploma, an AFC Ajax Coaching Certificate, a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s degree from Temple University. He was the Atlantic 10 Men’s Soccer Tournament Champion in 2007 and 2013, and was a part of the NCAA Final Four in 2007 and the NCAA Second Round in 2013.
